The Superhero Review Corner pt. 2

Hey there fellow Movietuber! Welcome back to your favourite movie blog spot! After last weeks review on a marvel film, today we'll dive into the DC universe to review one of 2016's biggest Superhero movie.

         Today we'll be reviewing DC's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, released 28th April 2016.

Hmm where to start... Batman AND Superman in a single movie!? What! 😲  Just reading that sentence alone should pump you up.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice features DC comics characters Superman, played by Henry Cavill, and Batman, played by Ben Affleck. Having been approximately two years since Superman's enormous battle with Zod, played by Michael Shannon, the loss of life and collateral damage left behind caused many feeling aggrieved and powerless, including billionaire Bruce Wayne (Batman). After finding himself convinced that Superman has now become a  threat to humanity, Batman commences on a peculiar vendetta to end Superman's reign on Earth. Meanwhile, the conspiring Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel.

If you want to experience viewing a ton of action (and I mean a TON), this film is the right fit for you.

Pros:

• You get to see nearly the entirety of the DC Pantheon, from Batman and Superman to Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Wonder Woman - All in one film!
• Well cemented story! The script is packed with action scenes and a well made crafted story which will keep you engaged.
• Bringing back DC superheroes from the past! It is a bold movie that extents to a whole litany of other characters including Doomsday, Aquaman and Lex Luthor.

Cons:

• Too much content in a single movie! Although this is great for us, the introduction of Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, Flash and a brand new story-line may act detrimental for future DC releases as maybe 'too much' has been shown.
• Seeing Brand new renditions of Batman, Aquaman and Lex Luthor is exciting however it can set a isolating experience for the vast majority of the audience. This includes different costume designs, with Batman wearing battle armour to take on Superman and Aquaman having a very haunting appeal compared to official DC comics. Such differences may not appeal to certain viewers.
