Hello Movietubers! I hope you are all well and looking
forward to this week’s post about Classical Movies of all time. This week I’ll
emphasize on the latest ‘Classical Movies of all time’.
Upstream Color (2013)
Upstream Color is a 2013 American experimental
science-fiction drama film written, directed, produced, edited, composed,
designed, cast by and starring Shane Carruth.
Shane Carruth returns nearly a decade after his debut
feature with the enigmatic thriller Upstream Color. Amy Seitz stars as a woman
whose life is shattered when a thief gives her a mysterious drug that forces
her to do whatever he says. Years after this incident, she begins a tentative
relationship with a man (played by Carruth), but both seem to suffer from
strange memory problems, and she's still haunted by what happened to her
before. Upstream Color screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, where
Carruth won accolades years before with Primer. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi
What’s it about? That may be the wrong question. But it
features a shadowy thief who cultivates tiny bugs inhabiting orchids; he
hoodwinks Kris (Amy Seimetz) into swallowing one. This traumatises her and can
no longer think freely; he persuades her to sell her house and transfer it to
him. The bug is imprisoned under her skin.
